REVOSHOCK S
Atomic Revoshock S technology is an advanced damping and stabilization system developed by Atomic to improve ski performance on groomed slopes. It can be found on select ski models (particularly in the Redster and Women's Cloud lines), where it is designed toto improve stability, precision and comfort - especially at higher speeds and in turns.
How does Revoshock S work?
Revoshock S is made up of a set of steel plates (called "shock modules") that are encapsulated and embedded in the upper part of the ski. This construction has a double effect:
- Shock and vibration absorption -When the ski travels over uneven surfaces or transitions from edge to edge, the Revoshock absorbs micro-vibrations and shocks that would otherwise travel directly to the skier's feet
- Rebound and acceleration from the arc - Once the vibrations are absorbed, the energy in the structure is transferred back to the ski in the form of rebound - similar to a spring. The result is a dynamic exit from the arc and a more agile ride
SIDE EDGE ANGLE: 87°
Precisely tuned edges are an important part of ski performance.
A dull edge cannot penetrate the snow surface and will skid through a turn.
An edge that is too sharp will grab and catch th snow surface creating unstable performance.
Our skis are prepared with a slide edge angle of 87.0° for more intuitive handling, easier skiing and better grip on hard snow and ice.
