The Tour Performance 88 model has a full wood core made of paulownia and fibreglass reinforcement, but mainly carbon fibre. This has a very positive effect on the overall weight, but also on the handling characteristics.
The popular 88 mm centre is versatile, holding up on harder surfaces and in new fresh snow, plus the shape of the skis in combination with the softrocker in the tip, the ski behaves very well in crust and blown snow, does not tend to "bite" and reliably holds the rider on every surface.
When walking, they behave very predictably. They feel light, are easy to control in turns, the wider toe combined with the rocker tends to occasionally veer slightly off direction if you're moving on slippery surfaces. In fresh snow, however, they hold the trail exemplarily and are properly balanced.
On the downhill they work perfectly on groomed slopes, their domain is all softer or freshly fallen snow.
