Freeride Sandwich Cap Construction has two layers of Titanal® along with a Karuba/Beech Wood Core in the KORE unisex models and a specifically tuned Poplar/PET Wood Core for HEAD women’s line, both providing the ultimate combination of stability and liveliness. A Flax layer and Graphene round out the construction in all models to provide our most performance driven freeride construction to date.
Graphene is a 2D material that even when an atom thick is one of the strongest and lightest materials on earth. Used zonally in a board it magnifies a board’s positive characteristics.
Provides a striking outline to the ski's look. The resin-coated flax top edge reduces chipping, while the traditional top-sheet it outlines minimizes scratches. The reduction in top-sheet material also means less plastic is used in the construction.
Recycled PET-Wood Core. This innovative core uses poplar wood with recycled PET bottle stringers. A lightweight and low environmental impact construction.
The same high quality material used in HEAD’s world-leading race skis is used here. Different structured running base for all conditions.
Tip-Tail Rocker is a ski profile technology developed by HEAD that combines rocker (upward curve) in the tip and tail with traditional camber (downward curve) under the bindings. HEAD uses this construction mainly in all-mountain, freeride, and freestyle skis to improve control, maneuverability, and versatility in varying snow conditions.
The Attack LYT 12 GW binding expands the legendary Attack line with a new model that scores with less weight (15% lighter toe), compact design and automatic toe height adjustment to adult alpine ski boots (ISO 5355 TYPE A) and adult Walk ski boots (ISO 23223 TYPE A). This binding is a sure winner with optimal support, safety and full power transmission from the boot to the ski edge. Like all our Attack models, the Attack LYT 12 GW offers outstanding performance on any terrain - piste, park, pipe, powder. The FR LYT toe is 15% lighter, but still ensures, like all proven Attack models, perfect ski boot centering and consistent release values. The Attack LYT 12 GW binding is top of the line with maximum stability and shredability with a significantly lower weight.
The new Attack HYBRID 14 MN/PT combines ultimate ascent performance with uncompromising downhill characteristics. Without tools or compromise, the pin toe is swapped for the alpine toe and the Attack HYBRID transforms from a full touring binding into a powerful freeride binding, with more safety and performance for any descent and any terrain.
