Thanks to the combination of a 95 flex, BOA® Fit system, Mimic Silver Liner and Memory Fit technology, they offer an excellent compromise between performance and comfort. For highly aggressive and expert skiers who require maximum stiffness and support under extreme loads, models with a higher flex index may be more suitable.

How Do These Ski Boots Perform on the Slopes?

On groomed slopes, ATOMIC Hawx Prime 95 BOA W provide stable support, smooth energy transmission and predictable, easily controlled ski handling. The 95 flex index offers sufficient stiffness for recreational and more sport-oriented skiing while allowing more natural cuff movement when initiating and completing turns. The polyurethane shell with Prolite technology provides the necessary strength and helps transmit foot movements to the skis without unnecessary energy loss. The model is therefore well suited to short and medium-radius turns, gradual improvement of carving technique and all-day skiing on slopes with varying surface conditions.

During turn initiation and edge-to-edge transitions, the advantages of the BOA® H+i1 Single Pull system become particularly noticeable. The rotary mechanism allows even and precise tightening of the lower shell, improving foot stability and reducing unwanted movement. Combined with the Mimic Silver Liner and Ankle Lock (AL) technology, it helps secure the heel and ankle more effectively. This allows the skier to feel the skis' reactions more clearly and transfer movements to the edges with greater precision. The result is more confident turn execution, smoother edge transitions and improved control over the skis.

During faster, more dynamic skiing, Prolite and Energy Backbone provide the necessary structural stability. Strategically reinforced sections of the shell help maintain strength under greater loads, while Energy Backbone supports the rear of the boot. The 95 flex allows active cuff loading but requires less force to flex than significantly stiffer models. This can be particularly beneficial for skiers who want to improve their technique, manage pressure through turns and maintain comfort throughout the day. Flex Control technology also allows cuff stiffness to be customized according to the desired skiing characteristics.

Another advantage is the ability to customize the cuff using Adaptive Fit System (AFS) Cuff and Dual-Sided Cuff Alignment. AFS Cuff allows adjustment of the space around the calf, while Dual-Sided Cuff Alignment provides lateral cuff adjustment according to the natural alignment of the lower legs. Proper adjustment can contribute to more comfortable shin contact, a more natural skiing stance and more efficient pressure transfer to the ski edges. The standard 15° forward lean and 4° ramp angle create a construction geometry that influences overall foot positioning and the boot's behavior under load.

During all-day skiing, the comfort-oriented design of the Mimic Silver Liner becomes especially valuable. Mimic and Fully Heat Moldable technologies allow customization to the anatomy of the foot, while 3D Stretch Toe Box provides a more flexible area around the toes. Hawx Fixed Tongue supports stable contact at the front of the boot, and Ankle Lock helps keep the heel and ankle in the correct position. Memory Fit allows further adjustment of the shell shape according to individual needs, while GripWalk soles make walking without skis easier. Overall, these are versatile women's all-mountain ski boots combining sport-oriented stability, an easily controlled flex, precise closure and a high degree of individually customizable comfort.

Understanding the Specifications

Flex Index 95

Flex index 95 represents a medium to sport-oriented level of stiffness, primarily suitable for recreational to advanced female skiers seeking a combination of support, control and comfort.

Compared with softer models featuring a flex of 70 or 80, it offers firmer support when loading the cuff and more efficient pressure transmission to the skis. However, compared with significantly stiffer models featuring a flex of 115 or 130, it allows easier cuff flexion and requires less effort to work with the boot.

A flex of 95 is therefore suitable for skiers who want to ski dynamically while preferring a more comfortable and forgiving boot. Perceived stiffness also depends on the skier's weight, strength and technique, temperature and boot construction. Flex index values are not uniformly standardized between manufacturers.

100 mm Last Width – Medium Width / MV

ATOMIC Hawx Prime 95 BOA W feature a nominal 100 mm last width, corresponding to the Medium Width / Medium Volume category.

This width is primarily suitable for feet with a medium width and volume. It provides balanced space for comfortable foot positioning while allowing sufficiently secure retention for sport-oriented skiing.

Thanks to the BOA® Fit system, Memory Fit technology and the heat-moldable Mimic Silver Liner, contact between the foot and shell can be further optimized. The 100 mm value is nominal, and the actual width varies according to shell size. When choosing ski boots, it is also important to consider instep height, heel shape and overall foot volume.

BOA® H+i1 Single Pull Closure System

BOA® H+i1 Single Pull is a modern lower-shell closure system that replaces conventional lower buckles with a rotary dial mechanism.

Turning the dial allows gradual and precise adjustment of the fit around the foot. The system promotes more even pressure distribution and enables fine-tuning of foot retention according to individual requirements.

During skiing, it helps stabilize the foot, improve contact between the foot and boot and reduce unwanted movement inside the shell. The upper cuff remains equipped with conventional 6000-Series Aluminium Buckles.

Weight 1,782 g / Size 24–24.5

The manufacturer specifies a weight of 1,782 g per ski boot in size 24/24.5.

The actual weight may vary depending on the selected size. This value primarily serves as a reference when comparing different models.

Considering its polyurethane construction, 95 flex index and BOA® Fit system, the model offers a balanced combination of strength, stability and efficient material use. Prolite technology helps optimize the construction through targeted reinforcement of the most heavily loaded areas.

15° Forward Lean

ATOMIC Hawx Prime 95 BOA W feature a 15° forward lean, which influences the initial position of the shin and the overall geometry of the skiing stance.

This angle supports a sport-oriented position in which the skier can naturally apply pressure to the front of the boot and transfer energy to the skis.

Unlike certain higher-end models, the supplied technical specifications do not indicate forward lean adjustment using Power Shift. The model features Flex Control technology, which relates to cuff stiffness customization rather than changing the specified 15° angle.

4° Ramp Angle

Ramp Angle 4° refers to the construction angle of the foot's position inside the ski boot.

Together with the forward lean of the cuff, it influences lower-leg positioning and the way pressure is transmitted during skiing.

The overall feel of the skiing stance also depends on the skier's anatomy, ski construction and bindings used. Therefore, a 4° ramp angle is not a universally ideal setting for every skier but one parameter of the boot's overall geometry.

Sizes 22/22.5–27/27.5

ATOMIC Hawx Prime 95 BOA W are available in Mondopoint sizes 22/22.5 to 27/27.5.

This size range corresponds to the intended use of the women's sport-oriented model and provides options for skiers with different foot lengths.

When selecting the correct size, it is essential to consider not only foot length but also foot width, instep height and heel volume. Even extensive heat-molding options cannot fully compensate for an incorrectly selected shell size.

True Size Mondopoint 22

True Size Mondopoint 22 is a construction feature designed to maintain appropriate shell proportions even in smaller women's sizes.

In sport-oriented ski boots, correct shell sizing is essential for secure foot retention, precise ski control and efficient energy transmission.

This technology is therefore particularly important for women with smaller feet who require proper support and functionality even in the smallest sizes of the model range.

Technologies and Construction

Prolite

Prolite is an Atomic construction technology based on efficient material distribution and targeted reinforcement of the most important sections of the shell.

Its purpose is to create a strong and stable construction without unnecessary material in areas where additional reinforcement is not required.

In the Hawx Prime 95 BOA W, Prolite helps combine the sport-oriented stiffness of a 95 flex with efficient energy transmission and balanced weight. Together with the polyurethane shell, it supports confident and precise boot performance during recreational and more dynamic skiing.

Memory Fit

Memory Fit allows professional heat customization of the shell and cuff to the individual anatomy of the foot and lower leg.

During the specialized process, the material is heated and subsequently adapted to the skier's specific requirements. This makes it possible to optimize selected areas where the standard shell shape does not provide sufficient space.

The technology helps increase comfort and reduce unwanted pressure points without sacrificing secure foot retention. Memory Fit significantly expands individual bootfitting possibilities and represents an important advantage for all-day skiing.

True Size Mondopoint 22

True Size Mondopoint 22 is a construction feature focused on maintaining correct shell proportions in smaller women's sizes.

Its importance lies in allowing skiers with smaller feet to benefit from an appropriately sized sport-oriented construction, correct shell length and stable foot positioning.

Correct sizing is important for minimizing unwanted foot movement inside the boot and ensuring precise force transmission to the skis. True Size Mondopoint 22 therefore complements the individual customization options of the Hawx Prime 95 BOA W.

Hawx Geometry

Hawx Geometry refers to the construction geometry of Atomic Hawx ski boots, influencing foot positioning, lower-leg alignment and the transmission of movements to the skis.

Properly designed shell and cuff geometry supports a stable skiing stance and efficient pressure management throughout turns.

In the Hawx Prime 95 BOA W, this geometry is combined with a medium 100 mm last, a 95 flex index and a 15° forward lean. The result is a balanced sport-oriented boot character emphasizing control, comfort and versatile performance.

Mimic Silver Liner

Mimic Silver Liner is a high-quality Atomic inner liner designed to combine comfort, secure foot retention and individual customization options.

It uses Mimic technology for anatomical heat molding and the Ankle Lock (AL) system, which promotes more secure ankle and heel retention.

The construction also includes Fully Heat Moldable, Hawx Fixed Tongue and 3D Stretch Toe Box. Thanks to this combination, Mimic Silver Liner provides comfortable foot positioning, stable support during skiing and the possibility of customization according to individual requirements.

Mimic

Mimic is an Atomic technology that allows selected areas of the inner liner to be heat-molded to the individual shape of the foot.

During professional heating, the material adapts to the anatomical contours of the foot and helps retain the customized shape after cooling.

This makes it possible to optimize contact between the foot and liner, reduce uncomfortable pressure points and promote stable foot positioning. Proper customization is important for both comfort and more precise ski control.

Ankle Lock (AL)

Ankle Lock (AL) is a technology designed to improve ankle and heel stabilization inside the ski boot.

More secure positioning of these areas helps reduce unwanted foot movement inside the shell, which is important for more precise energy transmission and control when guiding the skis.

In the Hawx Prime 95 BOA W, Ankle Lock complements the Mimic Silver Liner and contributes to more secure contact between the foot and boot. The result is improved heel retention, better response under load and greater confidence throughout turns.

Fully Heat Moldable

Fully Heat Moldable refers to the ability to heat-customize the inner liner to the individual anatomy of the foot.

During professional bootfitting, the material can be adjusted in areas where space, comfort and retention need to be optimized.

Heat molding can help reduce uncomfortable pressure and improve contact between the foot and boot. However, proper customization must always begin with an appropriately selected shell size and cannot completely replace choosing the correct ski boot.

Hawx Fixed Tongue

Hawx Fixed Tongue is an inner-liner tongue construction designed to provide stable and consistent contact around the instep and front of the shin.

The fixed tongue construction supports even liner positioning and helps transmit pressure when loading the front of the cuff.

In the Hawx Prime 95 BOA W, it is an important part of the comfortable and functional Mimic Silver Liner construction. Unlike the adjustable Hawx AFS Tongue version, the supplied specifications do not indicate individual tongue-position adjustment.

3D Stretch Toe Box

3D Stretch Toe Box is a technology that increases the flexibility of the front section of the inner liner around the toes.

The more elastic material allows better adaptation to the individual shape of the toes and promotes more natural positioning.

This technology is particularly beneficial during all-day skiing, helping maintain comfort in the forefoot even when the heel and instep are held more securely.

Flex Control

Flex Control is a technology that allows the stiffness of the ski boot cuff to be customized according to individual requirements and preferred skiing characteristics.

Adjusting stiffness can influence the level of support when loading the front of the boot and the overall feel when flexing the cuff.

In the Hawx Prime 95 BOA W, Flex Control complements the standard 95 flex index and expands the possibilities for individually adjusting the boot's sport-oriented characteristics. The manufacturer does not specify the exact adjustment range in the supplied technical information.

Adaptive Fit System (AFS) Cuff

Adaptive Fit System (AFS) Cuff allows the upper section of the cuff to be adapted to different calf shapes and volumes.

A properly adjusted cuff promotes even contact with the shin and stable support during skiing.

In women's ski boots, the ability to customize the calf area is particularly important because lower-leg anatomy can vary considerably. AFS Cuff helps optimize both comfort and the functionality of the sport-oriented construction.

Energy Backbone

Energy Backbone is a construction technology designed to increase the strength and stability of the rear section of the ski boot.

The reinforced area helps maintain the necessary support under load and promotes efficient energy transmission between the leg and ski.

In the Hawx Prime 95 BOA W, Energy Backbone contributes to more stable performance during dynamic skiing, carving turns and faster changes of direction.

Dual-Sided Cuff Alignment

Dual-Sided Cuff Alignment allows lateral adjustment of the cuff position according to the anatomy of the lower leg.

Correct alignment can help achieve a more natural leg position and optimize contact between the shin and ski boot.

This feature is useful during professional bootfitting, especially when the cuff needs to be adapted to the natural alignment of the lower legs. Adjustment should be performed by a qualified specialist who considers the skier's biomechanics.

PU Shell / PU Cuff

ATOMIC Hawx Prime 95 BOA W feature a polyurethane shell and polyurethane cuff (PU Shell / PU Cuff).
