The Kross Level 3.0 is a natural continuation of the development of lower XC full models. It is also a natural development for any cyclist looking for a more advanced design suiting all conditions. To create it, Kross utilized the experience of our competitors associated in the KROSS Racing Team. Their tips, which Kross regularly corrected by the XC World Cup, allowed them to create (with minor compromises) a machine adapted to the challenges faced by amateurs on various race routes.
Enter 2022 with the new KROSS Earth 3.0 equipped with even more powerful components than last year's version. First of all, it is a new generation of the Shimano XT drivetrain that is most liked by amateur cyclists. The M9100 version uses the same technologies as the top Shimano XTR - so you can enjoy a high-quality finish, 12 gears and an even better chain clutch. This is only a few grams of difference compared to the Shimano XTR, and significantly lower maintenance and service costs.
The XC bike does not face the same challenges as it did a few years ago. Race routes are becoming more and more difficult and technical, drawing inspiration from routes that have been associated with the world of enduro. That is why at KROSS we decided to evolve our XC bike models into modern machines for overcoming difficult sections of the route. That is why our competitors are more often deciding on full suspension bikes for technically difficult races and marathons. That is why the Kross Earth 3.0 uses the Rockshox suspension, the frame made of superlite aluminum and the rear triangle made of Carbon D84 using the trunnion system. It also features the proven Shimano XT M8100 components. This way you will cover any route faster than ever before.
The KROSS Earth 3.0 mountain bike is equipped with the Shimano XT M8100 drivetrain. This is a completely new design intended for advanced cyclists riding on the challenging XC routes. Thanks to the redesigned rear derailleur, it supports 12 gears located on a 10-51 cassette. This range of gears will allow you to easily overcome even the most difficult climbs and overtake the competition on the descents. The KROSS Earth 3.0 features the Rockshox system shock absorbers. In the front we used a high-quality Rockshox Reba air shock absorber as well as a Rockshox Deluxe Ultimate damper. This is one of the most effective structures on the market, and the lock shifter on the handlebar only adds to their range of possibilities. In combination with wheels mounted on WTB i23 rims and Schwalbe Racing Ray and Ralph tires, we managed to create a system that ensures perfect control of the bike in all conditions. The KROSS Earth 2.0 frame is made of superlite aluminum. Due to thermal treatment, this alloy is characterized by increased stiffness and resistance to overloads, while maintaining low weight. To reduce the weight of the entire bike, we used Carbon D84 and nano-alloy resin for the production of the rear suspension.
Wheel size: | 29" |
Boost 12x148 - 6mm wider hub and broader beam ration increases wheel stiffness. The chain spacing is 3mm, leaving more space for the casing and the frame, making it possible to mount 3 "cladding.
D84 Carbon SL is a light weight racing compound. D stands for double carbon material consisting of T800S and M40J materials combined with nanoalloy resin. The frame is exceptionally rigid against horizontal forces, while at the same time, being absorbent to vibrations. Extremely light weight and race tough construction for the most demanding racers.
Guaranteed powerful braking power even in the most demanding conditions,it will last much longer than traditional brakes.
Wiring inside the tubes increases durability of the cables protecting them from mud, sand and rain. It also helps save precious grams and achieve professional sports-round character.
Technology where the disc brake is mounted directly to the frame without additional elements. This system has a positive effect on the strength and accuracy of the brakes, but also the weight. Another advantage is better heat distribution preventing a long braking to reduce efficiency.
The bearings, located inside, increase pedalling efficiency, their wear is reduced and a better transmission of steering force to the wheel is created.
We created a system of exchangeable dropouts in order to protect our frames as much as possible. In case of damage they can be easily and quickly exchanged. Screws or a special nut are used for the dropout in order to minimize frame damage.
Tapered head frame with gradually changing diameters from 1 1/8" at the top and 1.5" at the bottom. The larger diameter at the bottom provides increased durability as well as stiffness resulting in greater steering precision.
TRUNNION is a modern system of fixing the damper to the frame. As a result, the shock absorber is shorter while maintaining the same stroke value.
