The forgiving XA10 has a wider sidecut for greater comfort. A lightweight wood core combined with HOLLOWTECH 2.0 keeps the weight down and create a perfectly balanced ski.
The models in the XA line have easy-care bases so they are ideal for beginners or occasional cross-country skiers who stick to prepared tracks.

All of Kästle cross-country skis feature a carbon-reinforced CAP construction where the surface layer runs over the sides, effectively protecting the core.
The HOLLOWTECH is the major product innovation that Kästle is presenting to mark the brand‘s return in 2007. The patented core technology eliminates unnecessary layers in the tip to make the shovel lighter and the ski damper. The result is quicker response, smoother handling, maximum edge grip, more precise steering and, last but not least, reduced weight. To this day, HOLLOWTECH is the most recognizable feature of every Kästle Ski. The technology has been refined many times and has received awards just as often. HOLLOWTECH 2.0 is the first adaption of the core technology. The size of each HOLLOWTECH is uniquely adapted to the shovel design of each ski.
The honeycomb structure is encased in a torsion box made of ultra-lightweight paulownia wood, which is called UL WOOD. It ensures optimum torsional and flexural rigidity at minimal weight.
