Two separate TWIN SKIN strips, embedded and integrated at different depths into the base, ensure a firm kick and smooth glide. The mohair skins provide uncompromising grip, especially on hard or icy tracks. Thanks to the unique Teflon top layer, moisture absorption and subsequent icing are reduced to a minimum.
TWIN SKIN CARBON skis are produced at Fischer’s most modern manufacturing facility using COLD BASE BONDING technology, i.e. cold bonding of the base. This provides exceptional glide and speed, excellent wax absorption, and also makes the base easier to grind.
Thanks to a completely new layer between the base and the core, which absorbs temperature differences, SPEEDMAX skis deliver the same performance in all temperature conditions.
The AIR CORE CARBON core is made from a variety of high-tech materials. It features a basic bidirectional structure as well as additional carbon (Fischer Carbon Fibre) and composite layers. The complex porous structure contains more than 80% air.
The CLASSIC 902 construction, with its softer tips and tails, is ideal for compact to soft snow conditions.
This model features a combined WC PLUS/TWIN SKIN base. The foundation is a smooth WC PLUS base designed for temperatures of -10°C and above, with a DTG World Cup Plus finish featuring deeper and coarser micro-grooves. In the middle are two slightly asymmetrically embedded mohair climbing skins (100% mohair).
