HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR MY LANGE SKI BOOTS?

Choosing your ski boots isn't always easy. But it's an essential step if you want to enjoy unforgettable moments on snow. So it's important to find the right pair for your size and shape.

A boot that doesn't fit properly, is too big or too small, will be a source of discomfort. To make sure you get the best fit, two measurements need to be taken into account: the length and width of your feet.

KNOW YOUR FOOT SIZE IN MONDOPOINT

Measurement n°1 : Lenght

The sizing system commonly used in ski boots is MONDOPOINT sizing. This measurement refers to foot length from toe to heel expressed in centimeters. For example, a 26.5 MP boot is suitable for a foot measuring 26.5 cm in length.

For correct boot sizing, do not forget:

1) When flexing into the boot, your toes should have minimal space against the end of the boot. Proper fit is toes just lightly touching the front and pull back when you flex forward.

2) To help avoid pressure points, boot buckles should never be overly tightened. Instead look for a more precise initial fit that doesn’t rely on you overly-tightening the buckles. If you need to tighten the buckles completely to get the retention you desire, the boot is too big and you should downsize.

3) The liner will pack out and conform to your foot over time so look for a snug, yet comfortable fit.

4) Ski socks will make a big impact regarding the fit and comfort of your boot. Thicker socks can often limit blood circulation and provide less warmth, while a thinner sock will offer greater sensitivity and precision.

FINDING THE RIGHT FIT FOR ME

Measurement n°2 : Width

To choose the appropriated model, you need to make sure that the fit of the shoe is adapted to the shape of your foot. The Fit of the boot (or last) is the width of the foot measured at the 5th metatarsal (widest part of the forefoot). It determines the level of control and precision of the skier.

Lange is offering three different fits to adapt precisely to different foot shapes and widths: narrow, medium and wide.

1) PRECISION FIT (92-95mm): Recommended for competitors and ideal for narrow feet.

2) PERFORMANCE FIT (97-99mm): Suitable for medium-width feet.

3) COMFORT FIT (100-102mm): Ideal for wide feet.

For a good ratio between comfort and control, choose a boot that matches the overall volume and length of your foot. If you are looking for precision, choose a narrower last. However, do not choose a boot that is too wide because you may have less control of your skis.

Lange Shadow 85 W MV GW (Medium Volume, 100 mm last) are women’s all-mountain ski boots designed for skiers with average-width feet and skill levels ranging from beginner to intermediate.

Shadow has only one mission: to restitute in term of rebound, power and precision all the daily energy stocked by the skiers. For that, we coming into industry with the first assisted performance & suspension skiboots.

Assisted Performance, It's means get more out into what you putt in: less energy, more power out, more absorption, more comfortable skiing and better on-now contact feeling.

It's a mechanical advantage created by 2 innovations: dual pivot and suspension blade. Dual pivot: 1 leverage point and 2 pivot points putted far away from eachother, to create mechanical advantage, gonna get more you putt in the more you get out. emplify energy in power. engage the full lenth of the boot. Transmitting the power with less effort, it's assisted efficienct.

DUAL PIVOT

On traditional boots on the market, you have a pivot point and two fix points very concentrated to each other. With the new shadow, you putt those fix points very far away from eachother, so create mechanical advantage, you emplify the energy in power. You will also engage the full length of the boot, nstead of concentrated part.
GRIPWALK® MOUNTED SOLES

Mounted GRIPWALK® soles feature a thick rubber tread and convex toe profile, offering increased traction and more natural foot roll for enhanced hiking and walking comfort. Integrated stiff pads guarantee optimized power transmission and full Alpine release function. Alpine DIN soles also available, sold separately.
SUSPENSION BLADE

The suspension blade is an external blade, and the upper cuff comes in between. With this new innovation, we have an excellent and smooth connection between upper and lower, to move together. That get you more absorption and suspension but also more power energy into your skiing. The upper elastomere adjust the flex feel upper part of the turn and also the snap and rebound.
