UVEX. Safety first.
The Uvex brand was first introduced in the the Mid fifties, based in Fürth, Germany, for a line of sunglasses. The company was built by managing director Rainer Winter. It soon turned into an umbrella brand for all their sports products and was then extended from the mid-seventies onwards to include the safety division.
From this point on, all sports and leisure products (ski, snowboard, cycling and riding helmets, ski, cycling, equestrian and sports eyewear and goggles) and all the products in the industrial sector (protective eyewear, helmets, hearing and hand protection, safety footwear and workwear) were brought together under one brand: UVEX, UltraViolet EXcluded.
The uvex brand is based on two established pillars: The products of the uvex sports group include helmets for winter sports, cycling and horse riding, skiing and sports goggles; as a partner of elite international sport, uvex equips over 1,000 top athletes across the world. Everything revolves around safety at work in the uvex safety group: The company produces personal protective equipment from head to toe – from protective helmets to safety shoes.
Uvex protects people. At work and at play. On the production line and on the ski slope. While welding or while riding. Uvex is one brand with one mission: protecting people.
