Carving short and dynamic ski turns is an art like no other that demands a maximum level of confidence in your gear. The Elan SLX Fusion X delivers this much needed confidence with the use of Ace Arrow Technology.
This technology combines a lifted Fusion X binding system to boost reactions in the tip of the ski, with two layers of titanal, upper shaped in arrow that loads extra energy to the edges and camber profile, and lower layer shaped in inversed arrow shape for a quickest and most responsive entry and stability at the end of turn. The R² FRAME Woodcore with two-layer titanal construction allows for direct power transmission, stability and edge control and RST Sidewalls for precision. The result is an agile short turn ski that will link your slalom turns perfectly the entire run, without losing energy.

Arrow technology is the utilization of strategically shaped carbon plates and titanium structual layers in the ski that work in harmony to deliver lightning quick response with world class precision and accuracy. A cambered carbon plate is fixed to the ski and acts as a booster that generates power to the tip. An arrow shaped titanium layer gathers and transfers this energy simultaneously which translates into instant superior edge pressure.
The woodcore is sandwiched with two layers of titanium. Dual TI empowers the skis with enhanced edge control in all snow conditions, ensures a progressive flex pattern and superior responsiveness.
The vertical sidewalls deliver optimum edge hold from tip-to-tail and a direct transfer of power to the edges at high speed.
The Camber profile is characterized by edge contact along the entire length of the ski, excellent edge grip, stability and power transfer.
The Fusion X is Elan’s next generation of high performance binding system. The new single connection design enables a smoother free flex between the ski and binding leading to easy turn initiation. At 30% lighter, the new pyramidal-shaped construction is reinforced with titanium for additional strength and direct, powerful edge-to-edge responsiveness. Skiing at high speeds is now more accurate due to direct power transmission.
The R² FRAME wood core is a unique tip-to-tail laminated wood core where a softer wood center is reinforced by a hardwood frame, allowing the core material to distribute forces evenly from tip to tail. This robust construction allows for a variety of flex patterns for different skiing types and giving skier pure skiing confidence feel.
