Rossignol, the pure mountain company, is a French manufacturer of alpine, snowboard and Nordic equipment, as well as related outerwear and accessories. Rossignol was one of the first companies to produce plastic skis.

The company is more than 100 years old. 100 years during which Rossignol have always been thrilled by the mountains, 100 years of passionate commitment, 100 years in which the company have lived our professional skills to the full.

The company was founded in 1907 by carpenter Abel Rossignol, a very committed skier, made his first skis out of solid wood in 1907. In 1956, Laurent Boix-Vives bought the company and started to sell Rossignol skis all over the world. In 1964, Rossignol released the Strato, its first fiberglass ski. The Rossignol saga was already a legend. In the 1970s Rossignol became the world's largest ski manufacturer.

Rossignol skis rose to fame through generations of legendary Champions, e.g. Alberto Tomba, the dominant technical skier of the late 1980s and 1990s, or more recently Alpine skier Bode Miller, Ted Ligetty, Vincent Vittoz in Nordic, Dorian Vidal in snowboard and Candide Thovex in freestyle.

Rossignol design and manufacture Skis, Bindings, Ski boots (Alpine and Nordic), Snowboards, Technical Equipment, Winter Clothing and develop Softgoods Collections for all seasons.

Rossignol is the emblematic benchmark brand in the winter sports market. It offers all users, from leisure skiers to experts, products for alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowboarding. Rossignol is backed by a hundred years of innovation and skill, and has the benefit of close collaboration with champions of the highest level in developing its products.
