GT

GT BICYCLES. Fun is Serious Business.

GT Bicycles designs and manufactures road, mountain, DH and BMX bicycles. GT was founded in 1979 in California by custom bike maker Gary Turner and bike shop owner Richard Long. At first manufacturing for the youth motocross sport, BMX bikes for his children, improving on the quality over then available bicycles. GT Bicycles was born with simple vision: to help riders push the envelope of what´s possible on two wheels by creating the most reliable, innovative frames. In 80´s, GT bikes became synonymous with durability and winning, bringing home more BMX wins and clout than any other bike brand of the area.

Soon, applying the same attitude toward the emerging sport of mountain biking, GT set out to design the best bikes in the world. Full Suspension was developed in 1995. In 2003, GT continued to test innovations that included the world´s first downhill bike with a production gearbox design, the IT-1. Next years GT continued to adopt new technologies, introducing production 29 inches and a new proprietary carbon frame construction method.

GT has focused on supporting the best athletes and teams to help inspire and develop the technologies that allow them to bring you the best bikes.

GT is wellknown for their Triple Triangle hardtail frame design, which means seats stays are parallel to the downtube and attached to the top tube forward of the seat tube, rather than directly at the seat tube.

GT products are not only the MTB full suspension bikes, MTB hardtail bikes, road bikes and trekking bikes, but also bikes for freestyle and dirt and kid´s bikes. GT offers also accessories as a bike bags, bike lights and bike locks for all levels of riders, for all conditions.

From GT Southern California beginnings in 1972 to today, the company continues to remain true to its BMX and mountain bike heritage. GT mixes performance with serious fun to deliver good times everywhere our bikes are ridden.
